CEA Hosts Energy 101 Legislative Briefing at Florida Capitol
Consumer Energy Alliance had a very successful Energy 101 legislative briefing in Tallahassee recently and presenters at the event covered the following topics:
A discussion on offshore oil and natural gas development safety improvements and the upcoming Department of Interior 5 Year Plan. In addition, the speakers shared the potential energy security and economic benefits increased offshore production could provide to Florida;
The complexities and problems associated with EPA’s sweeping Section 111d Rulemaking and its impact on Florida’s ratepayers and manufacturers; and
The future of electricity generation in the state in an increasingly stringent federal regulatory environment.
CEA would like to offer a special thanks to our sponsors: Associated Industries of Florida, the Babcock & Wilcox Company, the National Ocean Industries Association, and the Nuclear Energy Institute who made this such a successful and informative event.
As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out with any input or questions.
