Wexford Strategies is named after the county in Ireland from where the firm's founder's ancestors once called home. Wexford Strategies and members of the team are members of many professional trade associations including National Federation of Independent Business, Florida Chamber of Commerce, Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and the Capitol Hill Staff Alumni Association.
Kevin Doyle is the Managing Partner for Wexford Strategies. His professional experience includes federal, state, local and international levels of government and politics having worked for U.S. Senators Mel Martinez as his State Director and Connie Mack as his Deputy Staff / Administrative Director for the Joint Economic Committee, the White House, U.S. Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao, the Florida House of Representatives and on political campaigns in the U.S., England and New Zealand.
Kevin was recently appointed by Florida Governor Rick Scott to serve on the Board of Directors for CareerSource Florida, the state's workforce development system. He is also the Executive Director for the Consumer Energy Alliance of Florida.
He has a B.A. in Political Science and History from the University of North Florida and studied abroad in Moscow, Russia and Madrid, Spain.

Gwen Carmichael is the Vice-President of Media and Public Relations for Wexford Strategies. In this role, she creates and implements successful plans and initiatives that heighten awareness, build credibility and generate increased sales and advocacy opportunities for clients which include private business and non-profits.
Gwen has enjoyed working in various capacities of the Public and Government Relations field for over a decade. Her experience includes working in the Florida Legislature for two Members of the Florida House of Representatives as well as the Chief Financial Officer for the City of Jacksonville.
Gwen graduated from the University of North Florida with a degree in Communications and Public Relations.

American Strategies Group
Ariel Fernandez is the President of The American Strategies Group, a strategic partner of Wexford Strategies in South Florida. Ariel spent 13 years as an aide and Deputy District Director to two Members of Congress in Miami specializing in the areas of international relations, healthcare, education, technology, disaster relief, as well as a liaison to State and local governments. Over the years, he has developed great relationships with many federal, state and municipal officials from South Florida and throughout the country.
As President of The American Strategies Group, Ariel has worked as a consultant on numerous projects focused on business development, marketing, branding, public relations, communications strategy and social media strategy. He is bilingual and has a B.A. in Political Science from Florida International University.
VP of International Affairs
Chris Quinn is Vice President of International Affairs where he leads the firm’s activities in global business development and advocacy strategies. He was previously Vice President of Industry and Government Affairs at JAX Chamber where he managed the JAX Alliance, a group of issue committees that advocate for business-friendly policy in Northeast Florida on behalf of the Chamber.
Prior to coming to Florida, Chris worked in Washington, DC for the Association of Advanced Life Underwriting where he was responsible for their industry coalition, the Issues Alliance, as well as head of their membership department raising a combined $6 million in annual revenue for the organization. He then was Executive Director of the DMA Nonprofit Federation, a trade association representing nonprofits and the fundraising community dealing in tax, postal and fundraising regulations. Early in his career Chris worked in the Massachusetts State Legislature for the Senate Minority Leader.
He has an undergraduate degree in Political Science from the University of South Carolina and a Master’s Degree in Political Science from Suffolk University in Boston. Chris is also currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in International Affairs from the University of North Florida.

Steve Schultz provides government affairs services and federal procurement counsel to clients who are interested in doing business with the federal government utilizing resources through the General Services Administration (GSA) and other programs such as the SBA 8(a).Steve was previously with Avaya, Inc. where he represented the leading Voice Over IP communications provider before Congress.
Prior to Avaya, Steve was a director at Rapiscan Systems, where he oversaw the securing of multi-million dollar contracts with the company’s key cargo security client, U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Years earlier, he was as an advocate with Jefferson Consulting Group (JCG). Prior to JCG, Steve worked on Capitol Hill for years as a Professional Staff Member to Senator Connie Mack (R-FL) on the Joint Economic Committee.
Panella Law Firm
Michael Panella, Esq. is the principal of Panella Law Firm based in Orlando, Florida. As General Counsel for Wexford Strategies, Mike provides legal advice and services to our clients and oversees legal affairs for the firm.
Mike previously served on staff for two United States senators where he helped resolve constituent cases involving state and federal agencies. He has a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Central Florida and earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Florida with honors. Mike is a member of the Florida Bar, the American Bar Association, as well as the Orange, Seminole, and Broward County Bar Associations. Mike is familiar with handling high profile trial cases, performed legal work for CNN, has been a guest law school lecturer on media issues, and has extensive litigation experience.
