Wexford Strategies is a government and public affairs firm which also engages in International business development.  Our firm leadership, associates and project partners have experience on Capitol Hill, in the White House, in the Florida Legislature and on political campaigns. Wexford Strategies is named after the county in Ireland from where the firm's founder's ancestors once called home.  Wexford Strategies and members of the team are members of many professional trade associations including National Federation of Independent Business, Florida Chamber of Commerce, Jacksonville Chamber of Commerce and the Capitol Hill Staff Alumni Association. 

Kevin Doyle

Kevin Doyle is the Managing Partner for Wexford Strategies. His professional experience includes federal, state, local and international levels of government and politics having worked for U.S. Senators Mel Martinez as his State Director and Connie Mack as his Deputy Staff / Administrative Director for the Joint Economic Committee, the White House, U.S. Secretary of Labor Elaine Chao, the Florida House of Representatives and on political campaigns in the U.S., England and New Zealand.

   

Kevin recently served under Governors Ron DeSantis and Rick Scott as the Chairman on the Board of Directors for CareerSource Florida, the state's workforce development system. He currently serves as the Vice Chairman of CareerSource Northeast Florida - the Northeast Florida regional workforce system. Kevin is also the Vice President of State Affairs for Consumer Energy Alliance of Florida.

 

He has a B.A. in Political Science and History from the University of North Florida and studied abroad in Moscow, Russia and Madrid, Spain.

Gwen Carmichael

Wexford Strategies  

Gwen Carmichael is the Vice-President of Media and Public Relations for Wexford Strategies. In this role, she creates and implements successful plans and initiatives that heighten awareness, build credibility and generate increased sales and advocacy opportunities for clients which include private business and non-profits.

 

Gwen has enjoyed working in various capacities of the Public and Government Relations field for over a decade. Her experience includes working in the Florida Legislature for two Members of the Florida House of Representatives as well as the Chief Financial Officer for the City of Jacksonville. 

 

Gwen graduated from the University of North Florida with a degree in Communications and Public Relations.

Todd Sykes

Wexford Strategies 

Todd Sykes is a government relations and business development professional specializing in technology.  Todd is the former President/CEO of the Oviedo-Winter Springs Regional Chamber of Commerce.  He also served as an aide to U.S. Senator Mel Martinez, U.S. Senator Marco Rubio and Florida's Chief Financial Officer, Jeff Atwater.

 

Todd is a graduate of Leadership Seminole Class 26 and served on their Board of Directors.  He was recognized by the Orlando Business Journal as a Forty Under 40 nominee.  He was nominated as a Kentucky Colonel for his service and accomplishments on behalf of others. 

 

Todd is a graduate of Rollins College and Majored in Organizational Communication.

Scott Sturgill

Gov Affairs and Business Development

Wexford Strategies 

Scott Sturgill is a government relations and business development professional specializing in technology.  Scott is the former Board Chair of the Greater Sanford Regional Chamber of Commerce and he is also a former Board Chair for AdventHealth - Altamonte Springs.  He also served as an advisor to Former Speaker John Boehner, Congressman Andy Barr and Congresswoman Sandy Adams.

 

Scott is a graduate of the Political Leadership Institute and holds a BA in Business Administration and a Minor in Political Science from Flagler College.

 

Scott resides in Sanford, FL with his daughters.
